What is Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)?
Like what it says in the picture, it's perfect for scuba diving virgins. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. You and your friend(s) will be trained what and how to use diving gear so you can enjoy being underwater better.
What comes with the bundle
Lots of things! First, your two nights at the Thresher Shack is covered! Where better to stay than at the dive center where you are diving?
Second, the whole DSD package:
- Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear including a mask, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank.
- Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater.
- Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive.
- Have fun swimming around and exploring.
- PADI Certificate of your DSD experience
Third, we've got your two fun dives covered. This is such a bargain!
What's going to happen?
It's probably going to go down like this:
Day 1 - Day of learning. Check in at the Thresher Shack. In the afternoon, you sit down and go through all the necessary theory for DSD and discuss with your instructor if you have any questions. Probably do a practice dive.
Day 2 - Depending on conditions, your practice dive may be done in the morning on this day. And it's all fun dives today!
Day 3 - Chill, breathe and take in Malapascua, and go through your amazing photos.
Where are we diving?
We've got a handful of choices. And depending on your comfort, skill level, and weather conditions, we may even opt for more dive sites! But of course all around Malapascua. Choices are Bantigue Cove, Ka Osting, Los Bamboos, Dakit-dakit, and the Cemetery. Click the image above to view more a larger version of the map.
